This is the thinking-man's hip-hop. Best to listen to this on your headphones while you can give full attention to the lyrics. Very interesting, left-field stuff from start to finish with many tracks leaving you pondering the depths of your own mind. Not very accessible for most people, but it does have a hip-hop sensibility with a unusually poetic delivery. Pay attention to Dose One's [it's the second] verse on "The Scarecrow Speaks." He rides the beat almost effortlessly and what he and the other emcees say is incredibly profound. Enjoy this when you can just focus on listening.
